géographs Corp. announces StatsMap a free Google Maplet for US Census Data 2000.

North Vancouver, Canada, November 1st 2008, géographs announces the availability of a free Google Maplet that retrieves and displays neighborhood population and Housing statistics in addition to geographic information.

StatsMap finds any place in USA, displays it on a map, and gives the access to all SF1 Census data (population and Housing) for that place. The user can enter an Address and get Census Data mapped to his Address, or get a handful of Census Tables for the displayed Google Maps

The  Maplet allows users to get the location of a specific geographic feature (for example a block, Group Block, 3 digit and 5 digit Zip Code, Census Tract, sub County, and County).

In addition to the retrieved Geographic Feature, the Maplet would attach any of the Summary File 1 Census 2000 Tables ( more than 300 Population and Housing Tables are available at the user’s choice.

The possibilities for the user’s is large more than 10,000,000 locations multiplied by 2000 Census Table.

The free Maplet service offers all of the above possibilities free of charge.

The Commercial Version which will be available the third quarter this year and will deliver to developers the requested information in HTML, KML and JSON.

To see the Free Maplet in action, please visit our Web Site, register, and select the StatsMap Tab. There are 171 population tables identifies with an P, 56 housing tables identified  with an H shown down to the block level, and 59 population tables PT shown down to the census ract Level.
Each table can be extracted for the following Geographies:Blocks, Block Group, Census Tract. County, Sub County, 3 digit Zip, and  5 digit Zip.
Click and zoom on a map of USA to find a specific place of interest or type the name of the place and let the system find and display the appropriate map. MapStats also automatically displays population and dwelling counts for the place selected, and shows what type of geographic area it is and its relationship to other geographic areas. An onlineHelp is available.

The Commercial API can also be queried by any of the geographic feature(block, Group Block, 3 digit and 5 digit Zip Code, Census Tract, sub County, and County).
